Prevent your child from associating the dentist with fear and pain! Routine exam & cleaning usually performed every 6 months to ensure proper maintenance and prevention. However, there are occasions when patients have to attend cleanings every 3 months.
ORAL HEALTH EDUCATION
We make sure that our little patients are knowledgeable and empowered for home oral health care through a fun, positive educational experience!
X-RAYS
Radiographs are taken during comprehensive exam or when pathology/trauma is suspected. This enables the doctor to properly diagnose your child’s oral health, monitor chronological teeth development, and lastly determine if cavities or infection exists.
APPLIANCES
The use of appliances in young children is very common and may be needed, before full orthodontic treatment. Some dental appliances may be recommended for preventative purposes during early stages of development, for example space maintainers, habit breaker just to name a few.
FILLINGS
Commonly called tooth restorations, are done to replace tooth structure that has been removed due to decay or for teeth that may need to be restored due to trauma etc.
SEDATION COMFORT
We offer treatment such as nitrous oxide (LOL Gas/laughing gas”) and oral conscious sedation. Before your child’s appointment, they may need to take a special pill prescribed by their dentist, which will allow your child to enter a state of deep relaxation during treatment.
HOSPITAL DENTISTRY
If your child needs extensive dental work, treatment is carried out under general anaesthesia to resolve multiple oral health issues. For example fill several cavities at once! When your child wakes up, they will have no memory of their dental oral surgery
SEALANTS
A Sealant is a preventive material that is placed to help protect permanent molar by acting as a barrier making it easier to clean surface with your toothbrush in order to prevent cavities from forming on the chewing surface.
CROWNS
Tooth colored crowns which are placed on the front of the teeth provide the best esthetics and strength. Whilst stainless steel crowns are used in the molars to give the best holding strength at the back teeth.
SPECIAL NEEDS
We welcome patients with special needs such as autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, and other developmental gifts who require understanding and gentle care.
LASER DENTISTRY
We use lasers in a variety of procedures involving the inside of the mouth, be it to remove overgrown tissue, to reshape the gums, or to whiten teeth. Sometimes, laser dentistry is ideal for children who become anxious or afraid when having dental work done.
